Well i finally got my car to the track last weekend and went up to meet up with Dave from Canadian Performance and Arun for some test and tuning. The day was alot of fun even though my tranny let go first pass.lol..
My buddy and I left Ottawa at 7am and drove 6 hours to meet up with Dave and Arun. My plan was to leave the line on the 150-175 dry shot and hit another 100 wet shot once in 3rd gear. We got to the track and only had a few hours to get things done before they closed so i decided to go ***** out on the first pass..WOW..
I left the line on the dry shot and as soon as the car started rolling I hit the second stage...I can't believe how hard the car hit with a 275 shot..I held on for a pretty good skate..lol.
My tranny took a dump first pass..Bounced off the limiter in 1st to 2nd shift then again 2nd to 3rd.. we tried lower the shift points but the tranny just couldn't hold up to the bigger shot i guess so I will be heading down to RPM soon..
Just wanted to say thanks to Dave and Arun for the helpful hand on Sunday..
I am sure the car will go 9s once it car go all the way down the track..Here are some pics of the cars on the trailers...

I just bent 14 pushrods and wasted my valve springs on my 275 shot last week ( stock 97 ls1). I hit the rev limiter too !!

I have a forged 347 in the car now with Patriot stage 2 heads..Damm tranny let go and i bounced off the limiter more then i should have..lol
I am gonna pull off the head and check the pushrods too..
I was testing my new nitrous setup ( 275 vs 225- old setup ). Well, the new setup is rated at the wheels. I was in 1st w/ my a4 and 5000 stall converter ( was keeping it at 3000 rpm's ) and hit it and tried to shift it into 2nd and hit the limiter hard.
I have 0 compression in # 7 cylinder !! So, i'm pulling the heads off tomorrow. Then making a decision of which way to go.
I have 1 good head i bought from a friend now i need 1 to complete the set..I think the Patriot Stage 2 I have re too big for stock cubes. Those big runners are great for high RPM's but a little lazy for the first 20 feet or so..

Were u trying to manually shift the car? Did your tranny let go and u hit the limiter? Do u have astock tranny?
I'm picking mine up from Marty today. He would only do it if I took him, no shops. The price is better than RPM and he is closer.

Mike, the trans didn't give up. I was too slow shifting it. I have a RPM trans which has been great !! i was manually holding it at 3000 rpm's and wacked the throttle.... then....
