Bypass valve question
I have ran some searches and seem to be finding info on the sound factors of the valves. Thanks.
D1 procharger at about 9psi
The BOV vents boost when vacuum is present or throttle is partially cracked. This prevents compressor from surging a type of aerodynamic stall that can be very violent and destructive over extended time.
As long as BOV is not restrictive or can sufficiently vent excess air then it is fine.
Most upgrade when they go to forged block and push boost above say 14 psi (example only).

One way you'll know it's time to upgrade is when you start popping intake tubing repeatedly That usually means that there's too much flow going through the blower at the time the throttle blade closes to successfully vent it all through the valve.
