Just got my Novi kit tuned. 1999 M6 which is stock except BB catback. Turns out I am among the low number crowd. Car made 5-6 pounds of boost with 408 rwhp and 411 ft.lbs. torque. Not what I was expecting. Not faulting the kit or the tune, but everyone does not join the 500 rwhp crowd as easily as it sounds.
Something doesn't sound quite right. What was the air temperature?
Torque higher than horsepower is a little odd. Did they only pull to 5500 rpm or something?
With two intake restrictors, my stock engine still makes 8 lbs in the summer, 10 when it's really cold outside.

I know first hand how much temperature effects dyno results...my Maggie made 422 HP in cool 50 degree NJ weather, but only made 395 HP in hot, humid monoon weather in Phoenix.
On the low side for sure, you do still have the stock exhaust on it and if you change to some good Long Tube headers and a catback along with a LS6 intake I bet you will make the 500+ rwhp club and see more boost
The boost is way too low. You have a boost leak somewhere...You should make around 8psi of boost...Something is wrong. Double check everything including the intake manifold bolts...

And check proper operation of the blow-off valve. An intake restriction could do the same thing. Did someone re-oil the air filter? (it comes already oiled)
If that's the case, it will eventually fix itself, but then your tune will no longer be right and your engine's at risk.
Thanks for the suggestions. Sounds lilke it may have been a combination of belt tension, stock exhaust manifolds and clogged cats. Going to recheck for boost leaks, install AR headers, hi flow cats and x pipe then head back for re-tune. Will post up new numbers when done.

Let me know if we can help in any way, there is definitely something very wrong there. I would look at belt tension first since the TQ is higher than the hp. It's probably holding on the low end, making some tq, then slipping and losing all the hp. Like others have said, 5-6#'s is not going to cut it, get your exhaust done and belt tightened and you will be in the 500+ club like everyone else.
