I'm talking track techniqes, I'm no newbie to drag racing a stick but I can't seem to get it to 60' beter than 1.90 . The car went 11.58 @ 128mph and I'm not spinning, I'm just not launching hard enough but I'm not used to launching a supercharged car. The car has 3.42's with 315/35/18 bfg drag radials and a spec 3 clutch. Thanks
launching a SC car is the exact same as launching an NA car so don't let that detur you.
you said you aren't spinning when you launch, so you must be bogging. If so then up the launch RPM. Just make sure you get some heat in those DR's first so they hook.
These cars make so much TQ that launching them is usually a traction limited event. All you have to do is release the clutch at the same time as you smack the gas and the car would pull forward w/o bogging. the trick however is to not release the clutch too quick and shock the drivetrain but also not smack the gas to fast so you lose traction.
here is a vid I made of a couple passes I did in my SC car.
usually I cut low 1.5 - 60's, the best being in my sig.
