many may no my zo6 was converted to a4..my vette had slight vibration brought it to the shop ..and the flex plate was tore all the way around !!! that piece common threw the vette would make a mess of vette and legs perhaps...any one consider making this piece stronger ????
I think TCI has an SFI approved one Roy. When I got my swap done i asked Rodney and he said he never seen one go so we didn't pursue it any further-I'll see if I can find the link for the TCI.

Correct - it does not work.
There are no alternatives to stock.
<edit> The reason I am so confident is I bought a TCI plate to try it and after hacking up my stock flexplate to get the splined retainer off, realised that there is no way it would get within light years of bolting up.

One good thing is that you took it in now before it was too late. Is there a blanket for those cars or shields ????.
I think the blanket is more of a PITA than it's worth unless of course it actually works. There is no way you are going to properly install it with the engine in the car. While I'm glad I have it just in case it does actually work, it can be a hindrance at times. If you have long tubes the bottom of the blanket will burn off, burn partially, hang down or do whatever it wants. After several months when the stink finishes burning off of your headers and you are left with just the top half it does give the impression that it might work should your flywheel or clutch explode.
