6rib vs 8 rib
Any one have any idea where the [limit rwhp #s ] is on a 6 rib setup before they start slipping , & what kind of rwhp i can get out of a 6 rib setup , & when to go to an 8 rib ,I just bought a Tsp iron 408 & i am gonna be putting a ecs novi 2k paxton on it ,It should make serious power ,just dont know how much on a 6 rib before i start losing boost from belt slippage here are the specs on this motor :Scat 6.125 Rods ,Diamond Dish 15 cc pistons ,Eagle Ls1 4.00'' strokercrankshaft It is there Tsp Iron 408 Btw it is on a 8.5 to 1 comp,I also just picked up a Ecs Blower cam ,but i dont know how well this cam will Work with this setup Tsp will be building the block , I was gonna use the ecs cam to put in the 346 until they get this 408 rdy or until it goes kaboom , Chris says it will be very Streetable for this 408 but i dont even know the Lsa for this cam,so i have no idea ,anyone have any idea about the 6 rib setup vs the 8 rib & the Ecs cam in a big cube motor ?

Depends on how much boost you want to run and how small of a pulley. On a big cube I would suggest the 8rib and a 3" pulley. The stock 3.5" pulley on the paxton will probably only make 7-8psi on that large of a motor, 10psi on a cold day...where a 3" 8rib you will see 12-14psi...
