I have the ACP air extractor hood for my street/track car. I'm building a track only car(rr) this winter and am installing their world challange hood(pic of such from ACP site, shown below). It provides superior air flow to the normal air extractor hood. If you want to truly maximize air flow and "go nuts" so to speak, here's your ticket.
This looks really good on the C5, I haven't seen it on a C6 yet. I had ordered one a while back and they were on back order for ever. Not sure what I'm going to do, but there are some better choices out there now!

My buddy has one on his C5 Z06 and it looks really good! The only problem is, when it "extracts heat" in the cold, it fogs up the window! It does work and it looks awesome I just wish they had more options for the C6 that they have for the C5
All these hoods are really cool looking. Has anyone measured the difference in underhood temps between the factory hood and the aftermarket vented style?
nobody mentioned light or heavy rain. water vapors may rust motor parts.
Which part in particular ? The aluminum block, aluminum heads, brackets? Perhaps you mean the plastic intake. Hmmm.
I'm joking with you man! But seriously, there isn't a whole lot to rust in the engine bay.
You shouldn't be driving baby in the bad weather anyway. Even if you do get caught, an occasional incursion behind enemy lines, isn't going to corrode things up. Now if you are silly enough to drive it in the winter, on salty roads, then you are just asking for problems.

Idler and Tensioner pulleys won't like it.. and don't ask how I know
