Default Cam Choice..........D1

Well Im about to pull the trigger on a D1 system. I want to do the cam while Im there and I love a nasty sounding cam. How sick can I get before I have to chang heads and or flycut pistons, that will work on a D1 system? Engine is stock at the moment, except fot the N20. ( That will get reworked into the system) I do have Kooks 1 3/4 LT's, 3in OR-X, and corsa pacecars.

Thanks

JB

Well i guess a better way to ask this question is, I want to make power first, and have a lumpy/driveable idle second. I know theres some give and take so what would be a good compromise?

I have a D1 with a comp cams 220/224 581/588 on a 114LSA these were used quite a bit by Andy at A&A. Ask someone to post the ECS secret sauce cam vid to compare to this mild one that makes decent power

Yeah he does have a good one 232/240 on a 115 lsa and I just bought COMP's off the shelf blower cam for my forged 347 being built for my D1 and that cam I bought makes great power all over and shoud have a very nice sound to it those specs are

224/230, 114 +2 degrees of advance, .581/.592 lift! ECS also makes a killer blower cam that makes great power thru out the rpm band but the car sounds almost stock at idle (with only a small hint of a cam sound) from what I have been told by them!
