Not impossible, just not easy with pretty much all stock stuff...Z06 = 500 rwhp...no brainer...540...sounds like heads, cam, etc. at least in my case...but i'm not lpe either...just a regular schlep...
A nice enough car, although not to my taste. Nothing special price-wise. I'm not saying that to bash the car, but just to suggest that there's no reason to be in a hurry to move on this particular car.
$34,000 or so would be full boat dealer price for the car in stock condition. Most of the mods add nothing to the market value. The LPE Maggie setup, intercooled, is about $11k installed, with hood. Be generous and figure $0.50 on the dollar for used, and you're looking at $39.5. At $33-35k this car would be a good deal, at 40, meh.
To answer the original posters question, yes, there is more that can be done with the Maggie. His numbers seem high, but assuming that the car is a base non-I/C maggie, on a Z06 with headers, there are still things that can be done to increase 50 RWHP or so. We've done a lot with Maggies and are getting closer to the 600 RWHP mark every day!
Contact Andy at A&A Corvette and ask about his rear trunk mounted methanol injection system. With a non-intercooled Maggy theres big gains to be had by using a methanol injection system with it.

Let me know if I can answer any questions,

I put down 600 rwh and 700 rwt tonight, and still have more in here a/f ratio 10:1.
