Are there any people who are having any issues with blowing gaskets in their NON-STOCK headers? It has happened to me twice now and I keep everything torqued down. It happened to me once when I was NA (480 rwhp) and just recently with FI (650+ rwhp). I've tried different gaskets. Am I stressing the headers too much with all of my HP? The C5 people are running way more power than me without issues. Any feedback would be much appreciated!
I'm at only 587 RWHP on Dynamax headers and have had no issues after 2 and a half years.
I failed to look at your info, what type of headers are you running? That might help some of these guys with a ton of experience diagnose your problem.

if they are the green ones, toss them, they always seem to crack and leak, as posted, stock gm mls work good
Like steve and all the guy`s have said stock metal one`s = no problem
also am i right ,that stock ls1 gasket`s are better than zo6 one`s
with headers cos of the shape of the header pipe ,seal`s better cos it`s round.?oh and tq up the bolts in say 3 stages.
the gaskets i used on my zo6 with headers,gm 12558573.i think they
were round .the ls6 ones are d shape,so they dont follow the shape of the headers as well(i think).Maybe do a search before you buy.
If you are using OEM gaskets, and still having problems....its time for some better headers !!!!
stock MLS gasket with copper spray on both sides, torque the bolts to the factory spec in sequence (2 passes, I believe) and you shouldn't have any problems. If you still do your flange might be warped from welding, I've seen it happen before when a heat sink isn't used. If thats the case a machine shop can true it up.
