Another Torco question
I sometimes go to a track that does not have a fuel station. While my car is tuned for 93 octane, I like to run 100 for safety measures.
Since the C5 has dual tanks, should I be concerned with which tank the Torco funnels into? I run at the track with apx 1/4 to 1/2 tank. If all the Torco goes into one tank, wouldn't it only mix with the gas in that one side? Giving more octane to that tank and not touching the gas in the other. Hope I explained that right.
Also, do ya'll feel that Torco + 93 octane is just as good as running 100 unleaded race gas?
The 2 tanks transfer fuel between them. But for safe measure, its always best to see to it that there is some TORCO in the car before you get to the track. Burn through a little to mix it into the system.
The fuel will continually circulate through both tanks until the passenger tank cannot siphon through its venturi pump anymore (empty). The passenger tank remains empty when the driver tank level goes low enough not to spill any fuel back over to the passenger tank. So, when your display gauge reads half tank... the PCM reads empty on the passenger sender and full on the drivers sender.BTW, I use Torco in my daily driver
Great stuff!
