Default Help figuring out my setup...

I just recently purchased a 2000 MN6 coupe with 50k on the clock. It was modded with the following:

ATI PROCHARGER SUPERCHARGER..C5 KIT RATED 540 HP AT THE CRANK..
LARGER FUEL INJECTORS..
TWIN AIR COOLERS..
SELF CONTAINED OILING SYSTEM..
BRIDGESTONE KD TIRES,300 MILES ON REAR..
CENTERFORCE DUAL FRICTION CLUTCH..

The procharger is a D1SC and I believe its the stage II I keep reading about. I have no dyno sheets on the car to back up the 540 hp. It doesn't really pull hard until high in the rpm's. Which is expected for a blower. I'm not sure on my pulley size or boost, because there is no gauge. On the top puley of the supercharger there is a 4 50 stapped on the inner side. I was guessing that this would be my pulley size correct? The belt is from napa (part # 25060994) and is a 6 rib. I plan on adding Lt's and an X pipe to the Borla catback I'm putting on.

Here are some questions:

What do you think my boost is?
Would you recommend a 3.73 or 3.90 for some better low end pull?
Should I put on a smaller pulley or is the 4 50 a good one for safe boost levels? I want power but I don't want a blown engine either.
I'm anting to add A pillar gauges, boost is a must, but what other gauges do you recommend? I was thinking about wideband, I know A/F is helpful.
Any other suggestions?

I'm all ears. Thanks!

Congrats on your purchase - it should be a fun and fast car!

The kit on your car is NOT a Stage 2 kit, but it is has a revised version of the SC bracket (as compared to the first version of ATI's kits, like I have). If you are looking for more power, you should absolutely install LT's and an exhaust as you mentioned. Additionally, you could modify your existing kit (like I did with mine - see pic at bottom) to allow a better path for the blower to ingest air by going over the radiator.

Yes, the number on the pulley refers to its diameter. Generally, the smaller the pulley, the greater the chance for belt slippage. I would stick with what you have initially, see what boost you are actually running with a proper gauge, and maybe get it on a dyno to check your HP and AFR's, among other things (like knock retard). You should do this and a revised tune after you upgrade the exhaust path anyway.

Most install a boost gauge. Some also add a fuel pressure gauge and/or a wideband AFR gauge.

Hope you enjoy your Corvette!

do you recommend a place for me to buy the tubing and filter to upgrade the flow to the s/c? Also since I have the 2 intercoolers behind the air duct holes in the front, is it safe for me to lower the car? I am wanting to lower it on the factory bolts. Thanks for your insight. I greatly appreciate it.

I think the HP is @ RW's and not CRANK - Just a guess, unless it has not had a H/C put in it and it's only the stock LS1 - IS it only the stock LS1?

Yes! The stamp means 4.5" on the pulley! you're probably @ 5-6 PSI get a B@@ST gauge soon! and see for sure!

I'd do a smaller pulley 4.25" or 4.0" or 3.85" - I'm running on my P1SC a 3.85" (and I want to throw on my 3.7" ) and it's producing with my H/C set-up 6.8 PSI of B@@ST! and I'm putting down 565 RWHP and 483 RWTQ om my 346 CID LS1.

Yes! I'd do 3.73's or 3.90's being a MN6 you'll love the grunt and TQ pull you'll get with the combo!

Gauges- Do a B@@ST /VACUUM gauge immediately - http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Get the A-Pillar Dual gauge set-up @ http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...=KeywordSearch

And get a Electric Fuel Pressure Gauge, this is the one I'm using and it comes with everything and it's only $83
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...+115&x=23&y=12

The LT's, Hi-Flow Cats and the X-Pipe will definetely enhance the set-up - Then you'll need it tuned for maximun HP and TQ!

I hope this helps some!

Thanks,Matt

sweet thanks for all the links and info. No everything else seems stock. I don't hear or feel any cam and I'm pretty sure the heads are stock as well. Is there a good place to buy pulleys?

Modifying your intake involves dropping the radiator, re-installing the stock dual fans (in your case), and a few other minor things, so if you are not running hot (one of the real benefits of the dual fans vs the single large one you should have), I would start with the exhaust and gauges, then take it from there...

On the dual gauge pod from summit, do you recommend the 55 dollar one thats a full pillar or the 23 dollar one that i guess clamps over the factory pillar?

whats the difference/advantage going from a 6 rip to an 8 or 12 rib pulley? I remember reading that 7 or 8psi is the max safe amount of boost to run on a stock LS1 block correct? what pulley should I look to run that? Will the 4.25 give me that extra little bit?
