Default AA bracket procharger clocking

Just wanna make sure 100% before I send my head unit out to reclock.
From this chart, it is B position clocking for AA bracket and C4 got C position clocking.

I bought the D1SC head unit from a forum member C4 couple months back and he has had prochargers for his C4 and C5 but did not know about clocking He sent the unit to ATI to refresh with new bearing, etc ... but did not have them to reclock to B position for AA bracket which I have told him.

Originally I thought reclocking is just simple to rotate the discharge (has asked the forum as the answer was yes as well ) but have just read this again and it's not true

Simply crack case apart and move slinger to new location (bearings and all). Case is already machined so very simple to do.

It shouldn't require allot of effort to pull bearing out as this shaft hardly caries any load. The slinger simply centerfuges oil up onto high speed gear. Oh, it's this part that accounts for most of the noise...

Hey Mike, here is the inside of the D1SC. The oils slinger is in the center, or position "B" like the pic or for the A&A BRACKETS. You can see position "A" in the pic but "C" is hidden. Position "A" is where it needs to be for the new ECS BRACKETS. Carefully take the case apart-it needs to be spread apart in a very even nature-just be carefull of the seal-and drain all the oil out first. Also remember to move the oil drain to match the slinger position. The oil slinger pulls right out-just pull it straight up-you may have to wiggle it a bit but have some patience. I may have more pics on my work computer. I hope this helps.

This is why l really like this forum!!! I just sent my head unit out to ATI to have them re-seal/bearings and now I have to tell them to re-clock it also cause I have the new ECS updated bracket. I would have never thought about doing this if it wasn't for you guys on here. I think it's perfect timing to say the least.

Lucky you
The person sold to me maybe did not know about this so he did not have ATI to reclock for me ...

So if I call them tomorrow they will not say what the hell are you talking about when I tell them to clock my oil slinger to position A??

Well, I was about to open it up and found out that my oil slinger is 99% at the correct B position for AA bracket

1. According to Arun, the drain oil is in the same position as the oil slinger. This head unit just got refreshed with new bearings from ATI so they must got everything correctly. My headunit drain plug is at the middle B position

2. I can see the "99% maybe" oil slinger from the drain plug. When I move the impeller, that thing is moving as well Here is the picture I took thru the drain plug:

3. The C postion got a cable and a plate next to it so I am not sure what it is. It is not moving when I move the impeller. Arun may have a better picture to show that. Here is the picture I took thru the C drain hole. I cannot open A drain hold because the hex bolt is messed up.

4. Mike's new avatar just looks super hot so I think my slinger is at straight up B position (who's that girl, Mike?)

Hope Arun or Mike to chime in ...

-Mike

For the record....those who have a D1 like me, the correct location for the oil slinger is location C not location A like mentioned earlier.....for those who purchased the new style ECS/NOVI style bracket for their ProCharger head unit.

Right now my head unit is at ATI for them to check it out and now re-clock at the proper position. Once I get it back I will post pics and also belt info(part numbers) for those who may need them.
