Using nitrous
I have a nitrous system with a window switch that locks out first gear and activates at 3200 rpm. To activate the nitrous I have to be at 3200 rpm or more AND have my foot to the floor.
When racing from a dead stop or while moving ( rolling start or at highway speeds) what is the textbook way to use the nitrous ?
1. Turn the arm switch on and leave it on and when the car hits 3200 rpm and I have it floored the nitrous hits automatically. OR
2. Sometime during the race, hit the arm switch, at my discretion.

For the gear lockout after it is armed, it is looking for the RPM's to sweep through the selected window once before it is activated. You will need to expierment a bit to be sure.
From a roll you turn it on, floor it, it should downshift and pass through the RPM window without activating, when it shifts and passes through the window the second time it should activate.
At the track turn it on after the waterbox, it should spray at second gear during your pass.

#2 can be helpfull if your needing more traction on the street.
My 175 shot comes on under full throttle only. but, i keep the activation switch off untill i feel traction will be had ( on the street ).
#1 is the best way if your not losing alot of traction.
