I have an 02 Z06. The crank pulley seems to be off balance. You can see it wobbling pretty drastically. Is it possible that it's just not aligned properly? Can I just take the bolt off, adjust it, and re-tighten? Or am I going to have to buy a new pulley?
The dampner needs replaced, do NOT run it....if it is way out of wack it can cause damage from the harmonics/resonance that results. Not a super easy job, the rack has to come out and you must use a new bolt (get an ARP bolt).

The dampner is two pieces, that is held together with a rubber bonding. Sounds like your rubber bonding has broke lose. This has been a common problem with the C5's. You need a new balancer.
If you have ever thought about going with a new cam, now is the time to do it. Along with a fresh LS2 timing chain.
