Default P1SC upkeep question....

I've had my ATI P1 since early 2003 on my 02 coupe without any problems. I remember reading the procharger instruction manual (when I still had it) and it recommending to change the stock tension pulley about every 15k miles due to the increased pressure the blower puts on it (the one closest to radiator). The bearing on this pulley is starting to spit its lubricant and limit my boost.

My question is that is this the $100 part that they have in Ecklers? It looks to be a GM part and NOT a Procharger part.

I'll be taking it to Nick Williams when I can find the time.

Yep it's a GM part, and it goes for about $75.00 list price over the counter.
As a side note I replaced mine after 30k miles and when I did I measured the spring load on the new one and the old one and they were almost exactly the same.
Next time I'll be looking for just the bearing.

I have yet to touch my stock tensioner... it's been 50k since my procharger install and no issues with the stock tensioner.

now the ATI idlers on the other hand... those things are crap and i change the bearings every 10k or so or they will seize.

I have replacement ATI pulleys in reserve, but my original ones fromt the original ATI kit are doing ok. The factory one on the tensioner is losing its grease though. Not a big fix, but enough to where I need to get that taken care of before driving it anymore.

Update:

After closer examination, it was the ATI idler pulley that lost its bearing seal. The grease going up got on the hood and the grease going down got on te stock tensioner pulley.

ATI had sent me a couple replacement pullies when my blower was under warranty so I fixed her up.
