How do you like the paxton in comparison with the turbos?

no idea yet......car hasn't even been started. just had to run to the speedshop to get a fuel fitting because one started leaking at the swivel point. Should have it running tonite but with no catback, have some stuff coming in to fab one up tommorrow, and of course I have no plates on it...
I'm going to attempt to behave......of course my buddy the trooper isn't workin tommorrow.....I just haven't warned him yet
well i guess one thing i want to know is should the exhaust come first?and has anyone local found a good installer for it? and someone mentioned 9k for a budget to add a procharger and some other items. Seems kinda steep. But if its quality and does the job... As far as what im looking for, i do like torque but who doesnt! I do plan on taking mine to clarksville in the future to a track my friend runs his srt4. So i guess i want it ALL! Just so many choices and seems like people have done alot of different things. but im here to learn. How do tell if the exhaust is factory, the guy i bought it from said he didnt add anything and it was stock, but he got it from another couple so who knows. It seems to be different then what ive seen in photos

thanks guys
looking at the tips its not factory, they're more of a squished flattened oval. That could be factory exhaust from a Z06.
as for doing exhaust first, I'd say yes.....BUT.....if you do something like a sts rear mount turbo.....you'd be selling exhaust off the bat, thats where the turbos go, headers don't help 346 sts cars, other turbo kits replace the headers with their manifolds. Now blower cars on the other hand love headers.
if you're thinking centrifigal, such as the procharger you mentioned, I'd have to mention the ecs paxton novi kit (to which i'm partial) or the A&A vortech kit (which is on sale this week for 1G off) both kits are better than that procharger kit period. Better intercooling better belt layouts and brackets/tensioners. Pretty much they DO NOT slip which becomes a problem with superchargers. (right now I'm installing my 3rd, and ECS is custom fabbing my 4th at the same time) I've been down the wrong roads to know i'm following the right road with their kit. I've also heard great things about A&A. Both have proven track results as well.
of course the best thing to do is have an end goal in mind.....and the people here who have been down these roads can try to keep it as simple and cost effective as possible. Unfortunately....power isn't cheap and sometimes skimping on little things costs more in the long run, I'm a fan of do it once and do it right vs having worries in the back of your head or headaches along the way.

Yea i didnt think it was stock... First thing is tires, front tires are almost new, and backs are almost spent so ive been looking at those alot on the net. OEM tires are $$$$$ so looking at other options. And I know what you mean about do it once, i run projects and everything on it is do it once or its MONEY so thanks for the advice!
