Default Quick Question about NOS

Is it ok to mount one or two small nos bottles under tho hood. I want to put them were the windsheld fluid tank goes.Thanks for the help

No, there is too much heat under the hood for a bottle. The heat would cause an overpressure which could be bad.

I agree.. bottle pressure would go through the roof... best place in a C5 is in the center rear compartment. Hidden, and not in the path of heat

If bottle pressure were to "go through the roof", wouldn't simply purging the system relieve the pressure??? I am not a NOS expert but it is common sense. I say go for it Shagster, it sounds like a cool idea!!!!!

You can purge the system via a purge button. If bottle pressure gets too high (around 1600), the pressure may be too much for the solenoid to open.

Also.. There is no real science to the pressure discs for the blow down.... Some will pop at 1600.. some 1800... If you pop a pressure disc then you will lose all your nitrous.
