I know most of us want a clean looking install but if you are going to use the ash tray for a boost gauge you should use one that records max boost. It would be like changing the radio while racing. Just my opinion. troy

Only wideband in the ashtray area for me
Boost and Fuel Pressure gauges are on the pillar along with the Alky and Raptor Shift Light

I encountered that issue with my Stage Activation lights in a similiar panel for Nitrous (could not see them without looking down)...moved them to the pillar. Light placement was to mimic the tach needle (stage one low RPM, Stage two high RPM), as well if they were above one another I was concerned that one glow would block out the other and make it indistiguishable.

So your have to look down at the ashtray to see what boost your're at going through the quarter? I remember when the old musclecars had a tach on the console (useless). I always thought that's what the A pillar pods were for.

Maybe look at BOTH the pictures in post # 8 again???
I have air/fuel and fuel pressure on my pillar pod which to me on the quarter are whats important. I'd also like to use the boost guage so that's why I was looking for the ashtray mount. Still haven't been able to contact beer99c5 though. Anyone know of a web address to order?
do you have to cut up the back of the center console where the screw secures it to the chassis behind the ashtray?? What size gauge is that?
Dave
Not too much cutting!
I just had to lop off the tray so it looks like a window frame. If you don't cut off enough material it will not slide in because it goes at an angle and it'll run into the bottom -
So it is best to cut it close to the actual face as possible, like only have a 1/4 to 1/8 inch of straight lip behind the face plate.
