Default Learned somthing today!

A4 second gear and tires begin spinning at 50 MPH at 8 pounds of boost on the TTi X kit. Talk about a wake up call. Reaction time definatly increased. I guess I am still getting used to the power...its just a shocker when something like this to happens the first time. My tuner warned me...but! Anyone wave this happen to them?

Later,
The Big Dog

70-75 mph in third with my 6 spd X kit and it just blows them away. You've really got to stay on top of things or you're going to find yourself in trouble with all of this power. Aint it great!

Make sure you never have your wheels turned when you get on it.

TheBigDog,

When the road gets cold, you can say goodbye to traction. The other day I gave it some gas to pass another car and the whole world started moving around in my windshield, and this is with Nitto drag radials.

Be careful,

Clayton from Las Vegas

Yeah, first gear is useless to me and with the chilly air second can be too... third usually doesn't walk on me :-)

If you don't already have them, upgrade to a set of drag radials (Nitto DR's are great for this) for the street. Will make a wonderful difference in the traction area of your day to day driving. I was all over the place on 295/35-18 GDS3's after my APS TT kit. Swapped those for a set of 305/35-18 Nitto DR's and while it's still quite sporty in 1st, things are a bit better planted in 2nd and beyond.

get some bfg drag radials.. and keep them aired down to 20-25#.. keeps the 3rd gear highway burn outs from happening...

remember if you are spinning from a roll... its not hard for someone to get the jump on you and add a TT vette to their list of kill stories.

Enjoy your new power. I also run an X kit on an A4. It's definitely a lot of fun. I've switched from drag radials to street tires for cruising. Weigh your options carefully before spending $1,000 on a set of tires.
