Default Thinking about Nitrous

I have been kiking around turbo, supercharging aor nitrous. My question with Nitrous is were to mount the bottle and how to vent it out side. I've thought of Nitrous and a 3:42 rear end. Any feed back would be appreicated.

10# bottle fits nicely in the rear center compartment. Drill a small hole for the blow down tube. Be sure to put a grommet around it.

To many unkown factors to help you make this decision,

Things like Goals, power needs, useage and budget all go into Mods

If your working with a small budget, or you only need the extra horsepower every now and then, Nitrous is a very good option.

If you have the mean's, or demand the power all the time Forced Induction works great

One more option you might consider that puts you in the middle of those two price wise is a good head and cam kit, can get you in the 450 RWHP range for much less $ then forced induction.

I have the money to do a supercharger but I have 2:73 gears right now and have been thinking about a 3:42 upgrade. I have an 2001 auto. I have LG long tubes and BBK throttle bodie and intake. I just want some more grunt. I drive it everyday it's not snowing (which it is today). How hard is a head and cam swap? Thanks Laurence

If you have the money for it put on a supercharger and dont look back. You already have headers and you'll get tired of filling the bottle real quick.

Head and cam swap is not hard at all, but with either the supercharger or H/C i highly recomend a gear swap, you might start with that then see if you want to go further with the car

PS, Gee I never get tired of filling my bottles...nor do I get tired of kicking the *** of those SC cars...there mostly just bling and dyno queens anyway!!!

I think Nitrous is a good option. I also dont think SC is a bad option either. For me, I didnt have the money to drop $8-10k on a full SC system. I did a little at a time and ended up with H/C/Nitrous. Its a ****TY tune and it still puts down 540 to the wheels and this is my daily driver. I dont get tired of filling the bottles because I dont use it that much. I mounted my bottle right between the seats.....It looks mean as hell

Nitrous here, learned alot doing both Dry and Wet. Been a two year project, self tuned, and a bunch of custom stuff with the tuning as well a components (NANO is the final piece).

Probably be 575 at the wheels when its done...
