Default other intercooler options

I am not liking the FMIC and piping I got with my procharger and it has me thinking of going back to heads/cam only at least until I can get a decent IC kit. The guy put it together himself and I suppose it worked for him but there are a few things I don't like about it
1. I don't like the way it fits together
2. Some of the piping isn't beaded so I am sure the hoses will pop off.
3. Some of the rubber hoses are way too big for the pipe.
4. I wonder if it is too big and too much piping
5. I bought the A&A inlet so i wouldn't have to lower the radiator so some of the piping is too short(my own fault, but still plays into my decision.

I was looking at the A&A FMIC kit, but it's 2000.00 I have a hard time justifying that much. Are there other options?

Here is what I have:

I wonder how much it would cost to have your current IC modified? Say for example have the passenger side end tank modified such that it outlets at the top and pointing inboard.

This would allow the piping to sneak back to the middle underneath the elbow and filter from the blower inlet, then turn up and into the TB.

Regarding the beads on the tube, check with some of your local shops that cater to imports and turbo cars. I had a couple of beads rolled recently on steel piping for $20. Aluminum would have been cheaper.

That IC modification would work, although I'm not sure how it would be done or what the cost would be to do it. I'm guessing it wouldn't be cheap, but I'm sure it's better than $2000.00.

There aren't many shops in this town, if any that could do that. I'm going to take it to the muffler shop and see if they can do anything if I don't come up with a better solution.
