Dragon racing supercharger, I think they are out of CO. They made that charger that sits over the headers. Any results yet.....any one ever see it in person?
If MCM, or ACP would have stepped up to the plate and designed a hood like they were darn mear begged to do for the KB, people wouldnt wouldn't be trying to shove a blower in the HOTTEST part of the engine bay in order to save their almighty hood.
KB modified an MCM hood to work but it didnt turn out soo good. Its been said MANY MANY times before, KB would LOVE to have a hood company step up to the plate and make a better looking hood for their S/C. They would a considerable amount of business from it.
But instead, people would rather turn their blower upside down, and shove it onto the headers..

I'm sure Kerry the owner of ACP would make a hood if there was a market for it. If you can give me some more details the next time I visit with Kerry I will bring it up with him.

What about the maggie/C5R hood like Peter Pan got recently? That ones looks like it might be big enough???
Personally I like the KB hood. I just think it looks goofy and uneven on a coupe unless you lower the car and add some fender flares to the back with matching wheels or some 12" that stick out of the wheel well slightly. KB had had pictures of your car and then a stock silver c5 coupe, and the stock coupe looks ridiculous with that hood.
Dragon racing supercharger is just a terrible design all around..
I don't know if it's a terrible design or just poor follow through ? Since no published information on testing was published or performed it's hard to make a statement like that. I am sure with some good heat shielding that location would work.

Seems like Cartek has done okay with the rear mounts. STS systems do not appear to be bad systems, maybe they are not the optimum set-up however most of us adding FI to our cars are not competitive drivers so it's not that important.

Kerry was contacted on MULTIPLE occasions. If memory serves me right, he never bothered returning phone calls.
KB was willing to give them ALL of their hood sales for the C5 and C6 kits.

I was being a smart azz, as we haven't seen any data so cannot judge how effective it is or isn't. Granted it's a bit unorthodox but the heat issue may actually be a wash, hard to say. The noise though not sure about.
I have been working with a company out of NY for that very thing. Its got just enough rise to it, plus some venting like the C5R. HOPEFULLY we will see something in the coming months. It will not only be done in a C6 version, but a C5 version as well.

This photo is the property of Hi-Tech out of NY. If they feel that it should be taken down, I will be more than happy to

It looks good, hope all pans out with the new hood as that was probably the biggest drawback to the KB.

I had a maggie for a while and when you put your foot in it, it was loud. I don't think that my Borla Stingers and headers helped out any either.

Have Hi-Tech send me their prototype and I will test fit it for them.
