Super Charger reliability





It's *NOT* a $20 affair.
I think it goes a little more like this..
At a minimum it's scheduling an appointment with your tuner, either limping your car there or having it towed (provided the stars were aligned and you didn't get stranded and have to call AAA for a tow), dropping off your car, having to get someone to pick you up and drive you across town and then repeating the whole thing when the car is ready to be picked up.
This is a huge PIA. And do this five or ten times over the course of a summer and you might understand why some of us will never have any setup that isn't set it and forget it.

What if it breaks idling in your garage?
What if it NEVER breaks?
My insurance covers towing so who cares

Go with what suits your needs.
I just find it very funny how the roots style blower people get all bent out of shape whenever anyone mentions that centrifugal blowers can make more power. Geez, it is what it is, deal with it.
as long as you go with a well known vendor/tuner you really shouldn't have any issues... these setups have all been put to the test and the weak-links are already worked out.
