Default STS Question?

I was looking at pics of a STS kit and noticed the only use one 38mm wastegate. It is mounted just before one of the turbos. I was just curious if that would cause the boost to creep? Seems like it would only slow down that one turbo and the would keep building boost.

I believe a second wastegate is optional.

What is the pros and cons of running 1 wastegate vs two, Ive also wondered this as I have an sts kit w/ upgraded turbos also. My kit came w/ 1 so what is the advantage of the second?

To regulate boost and eliminate boost creep if needed. Basically a wastegate just blleds off exhaust before the turbo to keep the turbo from building any more boost. If the one 38m wastegate can't bleed of enough exhast the boost will creep up past where you have it set at. If that happens a second one can be added to help bleed off more. I figured a single 38mm would be to small, thats why I posted to see if anyone had any problems.

Have you ever noticed any creep w/ your setup? How much boost are you running?

If you have an xpipe or hpipe, its sealed so when a single wastegate opens, the whole system loses pressure. Two are redundant, just faster because of twice the opening area.

I havent noticed any boost creep w/ my set up @ 9psi. I believe that a single wastegate is sufficient unless you have big cubes w/ high boost and then a second may be required to control creep as there would be more exhaust to bleed off. Someone correct me if Im wrong
