Traps speed question
i took my car to the drag trip on sunday.i did 12.00 2.2 60'' 125mph
the car make 614/520.i thought it will traps around 130-134 mph.what do you think of it?why the car traps speed so low?is it because of the driver?

It depends on why your 60' is bad too. If you were lazy on the launch to save your car from breaking, that explains the lower mph. If you gave it hell on the launch and spun, you mph should be higher. On my old race car, if I was on slicks, my mph would be lower than if I was on street tires and spun.

i just got back from wed night drag racing and i did very good tonight.my first passed is 11.928 2.123 60'' 129mph and my 2nd passed is 11.233 1.923 60'' 131.39mph.they don't want me to run lower than 11.50 cause i don't have a rollbar in my car.can i go into 10 with this trapspeed?

with some sticky tires.. buy a set of front z06 rims and some dr's and you will get there.. i would upgrade the driveline and put a roll bar in.

10.62@ 132 stock driveline, stock output shafts on the fifth run broke my tranny on DR. Now I have RPM tranny.

how is your tranny from rpm keeping up with your car? cause all my friends with GTO they said RPM tranny is suck.my friend went through 2 rpm tranny in a month.

My RPM is running great, stage 5 , 575/525 to the wheels 2600 stall.
