Well Im taking my car to Arnolds.............I cant figure it out! !
Its nor running right! ! I thought one of the injectors was bad and I bought new injectors and its still not running correct! !
Few weeks ago I felt like it was running on 7 cylinders.........all the missing comes from number 2! ! We swapped coils and the problem remained, we swapped wires and the problem remained......so I drove it home and all of the sudden was ok and running like its supposed to..I even got under boost hard and it ran fine, but it did it again after I restarted the car that afternoon! ! I really dont think its internal because it would have never run like it did that afternoon! ! Ive heard it could be the computer or the harness to injector two! ! Can the oil from the breather damage the connectors arounf the coil/injector area on #2? ? ?
I would check the plugs, wires, and if not it can very well be the connector. I had the same issue with the connector but it would drop anywhere from 4 cylinders to just one. Took it apart, cleaned it up, made sure the connections were tight and no more issues.
had simmular problem with #3 went thru new injectors, swaped coils, new plugs and a lot of head scratching. finnaly looked at the o2 and found a bad 1, then got under car and found that a connector had melted to the long tubes and was intermitantly shorting out. The shorted O2 would run 1 bank of cylinders rich to the point of fouling #3.
every time I would retune it, it would run like a champ untill it relearned the LTFT's
