I actually took the plunge. So here's what I'm offering, the beginning of it all for me. C5 specific Line Lock kits, at an affordable price.

Please don't make fun of my amateurish site, this is a 100% one man (me) operation down to the nuts and bolts.

These Line Lock kits are all based off of the installation I did from my own personal car, and I'm very happy to say that I have everyone covered from Late 98 through 2004. Unfortunately I can't offer a fix for the 97 and early 98 guys yet, but I'm looking for a local donor car to try to work something out on that I can offer as an off the shelf fix.

The brackets are powder coated gloss black, and I may offer other colors in the future depending on demand.

Currently I offer a full installation kit, and a bare bones kit that allows the buyer to choose from a couple different solenoids that will fit the kit (Summit and Hurst) and whatever switch and wiring setup they want to go with. The meat of my work is in the lines and bracket which is why the somewhat odd price difference between the two. It isn't an easy task bending and flaring these lines. Speaking of price......

A full installation kit will cost you $165 SHIPPED to the contiguous 48 states. Seen Below (01-04 shown):

The Bare Bones kit will only cost you $100 SHIPPED to the 48 states. Seen Below (Late 98-00 WITHOUT Combination Valve shown):

*A note about the kits. All of my lines are formed off of a master line set that was built on a car (99 for the early kits, 02 ZO6 for the late kits). I would love to guarantee that everything will match up exactly, but I can't. There's too many variances involved. Some VERY MINOR bending and tweaking will probably be necessary for perfect alignment. And I do mean minor. The brake lines are very formable, and I get them as close as I can by replicating my master lines, but due to vehicle variances and "out of car" building, they may need some slight tweaking. If you've ever worked with brake lines, you know what I'm talking about.

Detailed instructions will be included on CD with every kit, and I do mean detailed. Pictures, explanations, it'll all be in there.

What about a warranty? How does this sound.....I will warranty all of the parts I personally make (meaning lines and solenoid mounting bracket) FOR LIFE. The solenoids included in the full kits are Summit Solenoids, warrantied for 90 days from MY personal date of purchase. I will warranty them personally for 6 months from YOUR purchase of a full kit from me. My only stipulation is that you send me back the failed solenoid if that situation arises.

I've spent a LOT of time researching what I could put together, essentially since I built my own kit last fall. I finally put everything together and here I am. Now, a disclaimer.....

I'm active duty Air Force, and work a part time job also, and am now trying my hand at this. That said, I can't match other vendors turnaround times. Please give me a 7-10 day turnaround time on the orders as these kits are all built to order save for the brackets which I have a few done at a time. If you absolutely need one in a huge rush, we should be able to work something out.

Payment.....this is a small operation. Paypal always works, and checks and money orders are great too. Heck, I even do the old school cash thing.

Everything I said here is pretty well explained on the website. Please expect some website changes and improvements along the way, and probably a domain change too as I expand to other items (C6 line locks anyone?).

Please post up here with any questions, comments, or concerns. This is something I'm doing as an enthusiast and my own little effort to help kill the Corvette tax. Thanks everyone!!!

Way to go. Cost me a lot more than that to have one built. Good luck to you.

Congrats!

Having done my own Line Lock using the forum, it was a Pain in the ***! I certainly would have got a kit if one was available.

I have considered being a vendor on the panels, I'll watch and see how you do first

Congrats and good luck to you!
That is a very reasonable price, and you should be hearing from me very soon.(changing employers shortly)
FYI, I have an '02 Z06, so I'm guessing there are no fitment issues.

BTW, Thanks for your service, seriously!!!!

No fitment issues. A 02 ZO6 was what my 01-04 line set was built on.

Thanks for the gratitude. As a serviceman (though I don't really feel like one because of how good I've got it....there's a lot of guys in much worse localities that need the thanks more than me) we can't hear that enough.

Busman......believe it or not I actually miss being in Jersey.
