3.8 pulley to 3.6 pulley on A&A?
Has anybody ever gone from a 3.8 pulley to a 3.6 pulley on Andies Vortech kit without swapping out for a smaller belt? The belt is a bitch to change on these set-ups.
Thanks
Thanks

If it's more than halfway, you'll probably run out of tensioner with the smaller pulley.
The proper belt for the 3.6 is a K060905.
The belt looks a lot harder than it is. My guys change a belt in about a half an hour.

You should be good on the belt!
Looking at mine as well and if one were to go with a smaller pulley in that demension you should be okay.
Let us know how it goes
Thanks,Matt

What is the boost increase with going from a 3.8 to 3.6? Also I would guess a new tune would be required too, right?
Sorry for the hi-jack...

From Vortech website:
"A change in one pulley size will usually effect boost 1-2 PSIG... down in diameter, up in boost and vice versa."
Vortech pulley sizes increment by approximately .1" to .2" in diameter.
Basically, predict or expect about 1 psi per .1" drop in pulley size and 20 hp increase in hp.
For example, when I recently changed from a 3.6 to 3.4" there was a 37 rwhp increase on the dyno and 1.8 psi increase in boost.
On the tune; you can drive it just fine off the boost.
But with more air you need more fuel; don't get in boost without retuning. I mentioned that you can drive off the boost so that you know you can drive it safely to get it to the tuner.
