Default Procharger and Predator issues!

I have been waiting for weeks to have my new Procharger installed. The problem is, that DiabloSports quietly replaced the Predator tuner. The old Predator was designed to be VIN specific. The new model is generic. This is a very good thing, BUT DiabloSports and Procharger have not yet worked everything out! My car is not sitting at a shop, waiting for Procharger to send a programmer that will actually work with my car!

Is anyone else dealing with this issue? I can't believe this is going on, and I am stuck in the middle!

First sorry to hear of the issues!

Many are not using a handheld at all no matter what kind or even one from ProCharger! Why?

Because you can get more out of your set-up with a shop doing a Dyno tune to maximize (safely) your new set-up!

You might be looking at a difference of 50+ RWHP by having a custom Dyno tune.

I would think about doing this and perhaps selling your Predator handheld.

I hope this helps some if not can we have more details as to your situation?

Like are you wanting to tune your own ProCharger with the Predator? etc

Thanks,Matt

Actually, my local tuner is doing the installation, and he said he would not even being the work until he has the Predator.

Is it safe to drive with the Procharger fresh installed and not tuned yet? If so, I will tell him to begin work on Monday, and I will drive it to a dyno-tuner when he is finished.

Is the installer/tuner using the Predator to do the tune?

It will be okay to drive "IF" your fuel injectors are remaining stock until the tune because the PCM will be programmed for the stock 28 lb's and if you are using 42 lbs it will not run right at all.

Just make sure you do not get into it and lean it out and blow the motor

If he leaves in the stock fuel injectors and does the whole kit then you can take the injectors with you and have the Dyno Tuner install the injectors the day of the tune or you can simply drop them in at the shop yourself. Talk to the tuner and see what he suggest too!

Are you going 2 BAR SD tuned or are you using the MAF?

What year is your Vette?

A4 or M6?

Are you going to run Methanol?

Thanks,Matt

The Predator tune I received was a JOKE!

I would not be comfortable having this installed by someone who needs the ATI tune before begining.

Do yourself a favor and find competent installer/tuner.
