Bought an FRC with an APS twin kit on it. What does it take to upgrade to a GT35R turbo or something similar? Also what about the APS piping upgrades did that ever come out?
Peter at APS usually monitors this forum and should answer up soon.
How does it run?
Havent even got it yet, its on the truck on the way here now. But i know im not going to be content with 540hp. Already had my tuner order a meth kit, and im thinking about pulling the trigger on a 402
Call Harry at Precision turbo. He did an upgrade for a guy that has his system for sale in the parts section. The upgrade was to 67mm turbos I think. They're good for ~1400hp total. You'll make bigger power with the increase in displacement for sure. AtomicC6 is making ~700+rwhp with his C6 APS kit. You'll need to straighten out the inlets for more power as well.
the is a thread in the C6 section called APS updates that i started. worth having a look at as there is a lovely inlet upgrade someone has built!
on the turbos the GT35R's will flow about 65lbs/min each. thats pretty good for the size! the F-body guys are getting a turbo upgrade in the very near future. APS are not using GT35s for them but a similar turbo with the same flow rates.
