Default APS TT Oil ?

I recently purchased an 03 Z06 with the APS TT system on it. I want to change the oil and was wondering if I should use the same oil the manual says or go with a different oil, something a little thicker or thinner? Any help would be appreciated.

For what it's worth, we're running Mobil 10w40 in my APS car. Running a little thicker viscosity on the hot end due to the extra heat the oil sees from the turbo's.

Do you have a forged engine or the stock block? I guess I'll probably do the same and go with a thicker oil.

I run 20/50 due to the heat. Fully synthetic. Plus there is an issue where the oil pressure gauge reads low due to it's relocated location with the TT kit. the 20/50 keeps the pressure "looking" on the gauge as being in an OK spot.

Problem with the 20/50 is the cold starts....takes longer to build pressure. I've verified this for a few scary seconds on our 99 Celica (turbo motor swap). Not even going to try on the Vette.

I'm hoping to get a "normal" oil pressure reading back one of these days. I'm looking at relocating my oil pressure sensor up to the port on the front drivers side of the block. That should bring things back to some semblance of normality.

I use Amsoil 10w-30 full synthetic in mine.
No issues.
