Note, I still have my original drag radials on the rear... they spun all the way down the track. Even after I gave the Mustang a 1-second head start, I passed him!
It really depends on the power the car is making.... is it stock with a p1? You have to take into consideration the 2.1 60' time.... I know that less traction usually equals higher trap speeds but in this case the car could be spinning a lot of the 1/8 mile. Once again... all depends on the setup and the power its making
sig says 307 before procharger so low to mid 400's rear wheel... with these cars its all in the tires... I make 630rwhp and have ran 7.60's cause I cant hook it. I wouldnt call it slow I would just say you need more tire. As far as seat time... With the auto the only thing to botch is the burnout
Yeah, right on the money sounds like, I'm looking at two slips I have here from when I had my Camaro and one run was an 8.727 @ 88.28 in the 1/8 and it went 13.031 @ 114.73 in the 1/4 and the other closest is a 8.376 @ 89.52 in the 1/8 and finished with a 12.705 @ 115.03 in the 1/4.
On a side note I can't wait to get my vette that fast
I'm basing my assumption off the 86 mph trap speed. Unless you were lifting to compansate for traction. My guess is the car should trap AT LEAST 90mph or better. an 8.6 would be a low 13. I had a mostly stock LT1 wth gen f body automatic years ago that ran 8.90's at 80 mph. Would really like to hear all the mods of the car, the tune etc.

I'm talking about the mph not the et. It is very slow for a FI car no matter how much boost. My bone stock '98 'vert ran 85mph in the 1/8, I just pulled out the old slip.
Even if he was spinning all the way through, at least his mph should be up there.
I was constantly lifting my foot! I could not get any traction. I think I am pushing between 450 - 475 HP right now. I will put it on the dyno in a few weeks. Also, this was my very first time at the track; so I have a lot of work to do to get my reaction time. I feel I can easily get my time in the mid 7's soon. I have a set of drag radials I will try next week.

csdunaway,
Reaction time has no effect on any other time slip value.
For example, if the tree turned green and you sat there for 5 seconds and then took off, you would get the same 1/8 and 1/4 mile time as if you had a 0.00" react time.
However, if you just want to beat the guy lined up next to you -reaction time is critical.
