This would be directed to those who do not have the emissions idea of sts's pcv system. I plan on running that stupid oil return line back into the oil pan. So i want to hook up all the PCV hoses ase they were with check valves installed and one of those veted oil caps(you know the ones with the filters on there). My problem is that the pcv solenoid failed then i vented the crank case but it still shoots oil out in my engine bay and I do not want the car to catch fire. Actually anyone with an idea could help. Also I was thinking of one of those oil catch cans with the oil cap breather.
Why bother with the PCV system at all if you're defeating it by running a breather? Just put wrist bands (think tennis or Harlem Globe Trotters) around the breathers to keep it from spraying oil. Or maybe i misunderstood. Sorry if so.
Well that is what I am getting at. I really do not want to run the pcv system as I do not need to. Which would be a first for me, removing or rerouting the system and I was wondering basically how to do it. Also my car under boost spits out quite a bit oil oil from the passenger side pcv valve cover nipple (the one closest to the front of the car, as there are two nipples on that valve cover). I am beginning to wonder if the sts oil return system puts too much oil into that valve cover so that when there is pressure in the system it spits out oil. I have driven the car maybe 150 miles and gone under boost a limited amount of times and have already spit out around half of a quart. Plus it is right near the exhaust manifold so I am worried about my car catching fire

If you have the oil return going back through the oil cap you will need to keep the line straight so when the hood is down the hood lamp doesn't push on the line and **** the cap up some. That is what happened to ours and oil went everywhere on the right side. Now I keep the line straight and all is good.

haha yep I learnt that too. But right now I have oil spitting out of the white breather filter on the pcv solenoid from sts. Basically now Iam trying to figure out how I can run a catch can instead of the sts solenoid. as pcv emissions do not mean D**k to me.
