Just wondering if any of you nitrous guys buy parts here? I just bought a bottle heater kit from nitrous Dave via telephone (real nice guy). Problem is, it was missing a 12" nitrous line that is in the picture on the site and listed on the side of the box. When I called them back about it they said they had changed the kit and offered to SELL me the line. Thing is, the line is part of the kit and nessary to make it work properly. Not that the line is any big deal money wise, it just seems shady to me to post a picture of something and then not include whats in the picture. Have I chosen poorly where to get my nitrous parts from? Anyone else have this kit?
Heres pics of what im talking about. Its the 12" braded line thats missing. Kit picture is from their website. Plain as day it should be included.
We purchased the 860 performance company a while back. They had changed the build of the product before we took controll of the company. They had well over 5 thousand or more boxes before printed with the image and print you see on your box. It is not cost affective to throw away those boxes and they will have to be used until they run out.
Vinny, the current owner of 860 performance swaped around the product build in order to elimanate a few unneeded parts such as the extra hose and T- Fitting in order to keep the cost done. Your heater should have came complete with a manafold instead. This manafold will screw directly onto the bottles nipple. Then your main feed line will screw onto the end of the manafold. Your pressure switch will screw directly into the side of this manafold.
The system comes complete with anything needed to complete the install. If you have a Nitrous Outlet or NX style bottle your pressure switch can screw directly into the side of the bottle valve and then you will not need the manafold.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks
Dave
The line shouldn't be necessary as you just really need the manifold fitting for the pressure switch. But if your stretched on the main feed line already I could understand. I've bought many things from Dave and his compnay. I currently have one of his standalone fuel cells in my coupe currently. His company has always been great in service to me.
I guess with a different bottle I can see how I wouldnt need it. The nos bottle I have would require me to use the manifold/switch off the bottle nipple. What this means is I have to plug and unplug the switch everytime I take the bottle out. Which risks pulling wires out the connectors, loosening the solder on the terminals of the swich, ect. If you use the line as the kit was advertised, it (the switch/manifold) can be mounted, pluged in and left alone. Oh well, Ill just get what I need.
Im not doging the company, when I ordered the stuff I talked to dave and he was super nice. I dunno who I talked to when I called about the line, it wasnt dave.
