Default Spark Plug Gapping

OK Everyone here is saying gap my TR6 plugs to .035. My tuner is telling me to start at .030 and possibly go to .025. Has anyone gapped there plugs at .030 or .025?

You want as much gap as you can get without having it get blown out under pressure. This deals with the rocket science portion of combustion (flame propagation and such). Set it at .035 and leave it alone. Not .030", not possibly .025", but .035". If your car still has the problem, it's not your plugs. If closing the gap fixes the problem, then you have an ignition problem that needs to be fixed, but the gap needs to be .035. Have you put an ohm meter to your wires yet? I don't care if they're new or not. I have new MSD's on my car and had to buy a second set just to replace them as they go out. I will not be buying another set. Next time it's GMPP wires or Taylors. Put the meter across each wire. Coils can't be metered because they have active components in them, so its more difficult to tell if they're defective. The only way I could think of testing the coils is to put an inductive clamp on the wires and capture the signal with an O-scope or something.

Putting the plugs in tonight after work . And I will try the ohm meter as well . Just wanted to see the opinions of the plug gap. I didn't think you wanted to go below .035.
