Default Removing restrictor from ECS kit

I have a drag pack on the way and want to setup the car for some all out passes. I'd like to remove the plate and adjust the tune with some race gas. I'd like to get deep into the tens.

How much boost will I pick up by removing the plate from my kit? Right now it makes 10lbs. max.

Am I asking for trouble?

do you have meth, what size pulley is on your head unit. Ask doug before doing this

Yes I have the ECS meth kit and the pulley that comes with the SC600 kit. Hopefully Doug will chime in.

Well... that exact combo in Asmokegars ZO6 netted a 9.80 @ 142. with our blower cam. You will see aproximately 12-13lbs. Make sure you have a spot on tune and 100% race fuel. (unleaded)

how much hp and tq does the setup put out? (no restrictor, meth, race gas, and 12-13lbs)

Excellent. I have your cam as well, so only difference is the auto tranny I guess.

Charlie will be tuning the car. Is 100 octane unleaded sufficient? They sell it at the pump by work. They also have 109 unleaded in the 5 gallon jugs but it's $14 a gallon

When I removed my restrictor, I saw 14 lbs. It netted me a 9.82@139, and a 9.84@137, but I only spun the motor to 6500. asmokegars was a tiny bit higher. The pulley I use is the one that came with the kit and I have the cam and meth also. I wasnt running straight race gas. I had about 1/3 of a tank of 93+torco and then added about 3 gallons of 100. Make sure the tune is dead on...
I have since put the restrictor back in, and slowed the car down...

I never run less than 12-13 psi and that's with pump 93 or 94. My motor doesn't knock with or without the meth.

never dyno'd at that, only track tuned. Sorry



100 octane is fine, it's more for safety than anything, at that level the engine cant see even a hint of detonation or it's toast.
