Very cool. You have full blown (no pun intended) mod sickness

When will the rocket be ready for takeoff? And who's doing the install?

Haha, I should have let you know how serious I was. Once I saw the price of the sale I knew I should just get it now. Marc, Fran at Race Proven Motorsports will be doing the install. He did my spec twin disc and I was quite pleased with his work. I know it's not really a budget car anymore, but my new job allows for a little extra money here and there.

I am hoping to bring the car in around February, say March at the latest. It will also be getting a custom blower cam (no baby ECS cam ), springs, pushrods, timing chain, etc etc. I am hoping for 530 at the wheels, but Fran and Andy from A&A both seem to think it will make quite more than that. If that is the case, I will probably have them de-tune the car to keep it safe. Oh yeah, I got their last model of straight cut gears. You will know that bad boy is under there

fwiw, did you order that 'through' the installing shop? I really like the new filter inlet setup on kits out there, the old tubes were an absolute pita to fit right, always seemed to slip off

The kit was ordered directly through A&A. Fran basically told me he couldn't touch the price of the kit, so it was nice he wasn't trying to make an extra couple thousand bucks off of me. I am sure they will be able to take care of any fitment problems.

Believe me, Fran, I will be going crazy. But I put this on my card figuring the price will never really get any lower than this. Once I have most of the kit paid off, I will bring it over to get installed. How long do you think you will need the car to do the kit, cam, and gauges all said and done with dyno tuning? A full week?

i would say a week is a save bet but it really shouldnt take that long to be honest.

What can I say, I'm not a groupie

The kit was $5200 total with the injectors and new fuel pump. It gets more expensive with different head units and the ram air intercooler. I will be making a custom ram air license plate to aid in keeping coolant and IAT's low.
