oil filter

I have a built and S/C LS1, is there any prefference to oil filters, or types of oil. I was going to use mobile 1 5/30 fully synthetic along with a knn filter? Is OEM better, or is there something even better out there?

Every true test I've ever seen shows Wix/Napa Gold to be the best filter. Get on BITOG where the people are die-hard oil nerds, and they'll agree.

I like the K&N or Mobil 1 filters. I would stay away from the FRAM. I saw a test where they used a FRAM and the results sucked.

Also if you pick up a Filter Magnet, they are good for pulling metal particles from your oil system.
