Default A and A verses ECS

Hi everyone, I am trying to decide between these two. IF, I decide to install,is Andy's latest ram-air design easier to install than the ECS? My car is more of a "garage-queen", I like the 50-70 mph highway "roll-ons",always have ever since I was old enough to drive! Back to questions; Does the ECS require ANY modifications to the radiator/brackets/supports? It is my understanding the A and A does NOT. Since I do not want to forge the bottom end,and from what I have read here on the forum, anything over 550 rwhp is not practical or realistic for the street? Should I spend the money for a set of 3.90's and forget the longtube headers? OR, should I install longtubes and a blower cam? Would the addition of the headers and cam require less "strain, boost" from the blower?? Thank you guys for all the info I have gleaned over the past several years! By the way, my car is a 2002 6-speed "vert"

I researched both and chose A&A. I like ECS and they were plenty nice enough, but I was overwhelmed with how great Andy was even on the phone and the reports I heard about how he was after the sale. I also like the lowering of the stock radiator bracket versus the modified bracket. Last was price. Andy's price with everything I purchased including fuel system, cam, upgrade to the YSi trim and incredible ram air intercooler was and still is incredible. I am very happy. If you like highway roll-ons, I would consider that in conflict with getting gears. Blower cam and headers would be better. The more efficient the motor, the less boost you have to run to achieve a given horsepower. Forget the gears and do the headers and cam. The difference between the A&A and ECS kit in price will pay for the cam, and some of the headers. If the prices were equal between the two, I would have had a more difficult decision to make because Chris has been good to me with my other purchases.

I hope this helps.

Honestly, this question has been posted 900 thousand times. What happens is, is an innocent question turns into to 50 loyal customers pounding their chests..

Although they are similar, they are VERY different.

Call ECS and ask Chris about the pros/cons of their kit. Then call Andy and ask the same. This will give you a CLEAR understanding of which route you should go. Personally, I feel the ECS kit uses innovation through thought and design implementation. They are our companies choice of centrifugal systems.

But be prepared for an all out customer fest, then and immediate lock down..

It comes down to the fact that you can't go wrong with either of them. Both have solid reputations and quality products. Speak with both of them and go with the one YOU feel most comfortable with.

I for one, have an A&A kit with 9psi and am in the 650 RWHP mark w/ meth on my 02 ZO6.
