Default compression limits/etc.

LS2 block bored to 4.005"
Diamond forged pistons -14cc
Crower forged I-beam rods 6.125"
Eagle forged 4" stroke crank
A&A S/C (not installed yet) - looking for heads / cam

Considering what to buy for heads - your help is appreciated.
I see ebay AFR 225 62CC advertised good price - but that would put my compression around 10.8 (?right?)

Is that too high ? what are the limits here?
I understand less compression is more F/I friendly - but if I stay around 6-8-10 #s - with a good tune - will that be an issue?

Would I need to get he alky/meth injection ..?

Thank you (still learning - first step into F/I)

Burk

Don't forget about the head gasket. Stock gasket will bring you down to about 10.4. I looked on Ebay. I would call Tony Mamo @ AFR and order a set of 72CC chambers and go with an aproximate 9.5 comp. Easy to do it now versus later.

Without meth, my IAT's are 178 at 17psi boost on pump. With meth, 75°. Lower intake temps and added octane. I like meth. Once you get used to the power, are you one of those guys like me and everyone I know that will want to turn it up? If so, get the right heads and the meth. Don't forget a good blower cam! To me, that's more important than heads.

Thank you for your input ..

I'm agonizing over making a couple of decisions - should I put the S/C on my stock engine now - along with a ne clutch - or wait until I have the 402 with heads and cam ready?

It may be a while before I can finish getting all the additonal parts....

I'm leaning towards putting the S/C on now!! Even with the stock engine ..
