Sorry this probably belongs in another section, but I'm going to try some 28" slicks this weekend and I was wondering if I should even go into HPT and change the tire sizes?
Does correcting for the taller rear tire bring the wheel sensors back inline so that active handling still works?
i would think since your running a taller tire and you have an A4 that it will affect your shift points since your speed sensors will be calculating the wrong speed

oops... forgot about that.. i was on the six speed page
Some other guys and I were talking about this in the "KB runs 10's" thread so I think its good info for guys with FI cars wanting to track the car. Our questions were more of when to go from a 26" tire to a 28" tire. I run my drag pack with 28" on the streets and as long as I have 20psi in them, they don't rub. If it gets to 14 or 15psi in the tires they do rub when I hit a good bump and they bounce a bit. I have a buddy who borrowed them on his lowered car and he now has new inners, =)
If you have never had your car at the track, which would you start with if you are at a700/700 power level? The 26" or 28"?
If I remove the rear fender liners, would that provide enough clearance?
Keith..
Minor... MINOR rub on the center of the fender [if you are looking at the passenger side of the car, the rub on mine would be at the 2 o'clock position] about 3" tall
