After doing about an hour searching here on the forum, IM LOST I have a 99 Coupe with stock LS6 heads, LS6 intake, G5X4 cam, LTs, and B&B Bullets. I made 434 rwhp and 415 rwtq on the motor, and then added 150 shot with 5 degrees taken out, made 559 rwhp and 623 rwtq. Im on stock fuel system except the injectors. I have the 30#SVOs. Im concerned about my stock fuel pump. I tried to find what I needed, cant find my answer. Can some help me with what I need to do? What fuel pump do i need to go with? Where to buy? The only future upgrades I plan on doing is some head work and a fast 90/90. PLease help me and Thank you for ya'lls time!
You have several options out there, here is the short list:
1) Racetronix in tank pump
2) Kenne Bell Boost a pump
3) ECS custom fuel system
4) A&A custom fuel system
For your set-up I think the Racetronix in junction with a BAP would work well. Activate the BAP when the nitrous kicks in. I know the search function is not working that great, bu there has been a lot of discussion on these systems in the past.
Thanks guys! So do I have a intake or inline fuel pump??
You have an in-tank set up. Please see this: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-f...uel-rails.html
Look for my posts in there I have described a pretty simple yet reliable fueld system. it is what I use on my 700/700 whp/wt APS twin turbo car. It has worked perfectly since day 1. This will do all you need.
If you are looking for a more complete system that ships to you ready to install call ECS or A and A, they both have nice systems.
Good Luck!
Dan
What kind of AFR did you have when you dyno'd?
I am running a ractronix's pump. I sprayed a 150 shot (on top of my mods), and at 563 hp, I could't get it richer than low 12's
I only have around 4000 miles on mine, and it "sounds" like it's going out
There's not a lot of options for an in tank pump, unless you're willing to spend some $$

Yes. If you do a search on his post you can likely find his intro on this kit. If you have parts and/or access to this type of stuff the cost can be cut in half. I have only about $500 absolute tops into my system. It's the same as Andy's, however, my exact plumbing choices were/are a little different. We both came up with this system about the same time (he uses a boost pressure switch and I use an RPM activation switch). IMO, it's such a great alternative to the very expensive kits out, and the big dollar systems guys have come up with. i am a cheap bastard, lol, so i thought I could do it cheaper and it all worked out. a lot of my ideas came from following along with Nick yoskins fuel upgrades, at least the information part. Good luck
By the way I'm reading this remark, it sounds like it starts out high 12's in the lower rpm's and goes to 11's in the upper. Either I am misunderstanding, you have the #'s transposed or your tune needs work. The higher the #, the leaner you are and the lower the #, the richer you are. ( for those reading who might not know.)
My tuner says there is some work to be done. He went out of town for a couple of weeks and I need my tune done cause I was competing in a race at the local track. We havent got our free time to meet up and put it back on the dyno. He pulled 5 degrees and said I can play with the fuel jets to get it close. We are running it FAT to be safe . Which we are. but one day soon we're going to get togehter and tune it a lot better than what it is. I wanted to get a fuel pump in before we go back. I know my stock fuel pump is limited.
