Where are you guys with C5's mounting your nitrous bottles? Some pics would be great! Wondering if behind the seats is the only place or if they fit in the compartments Thanks!

 

I cut out the center compartment cover. I'm just going to remove it entirely though.

 

Anyway you can place a 10# bottle in that compartment and put the lid back on?

yes I had it like that for years.. cover it up and boom no nitrous bottle to see.

 

 

Heres mine, I put it there so I can still take my top off and store in the hatch. I know I need to repaint the bottle, its been around

The clips for the latches to the hatch covers are easily removed and put into something more custom (leaving the factory one intact). You can get and make a new top with materials from Lowes or Home Depot (as well as carpet).

 

I will have a NANO system soon and probably mount it perpendicular to the nitrous bottle right behind the pass. seat

I might be wrong and maybe it does not matter with 2 bottles but I always thought you needed the bottles were it comes out facing down that way the tube at the bottom of the bottle can work right

I mounted mine on the side. I build a special wooden mount to hold the bottle. Here is a picture of it in the well.

 

Here's a bottle mount pictorial from my web. Many styles to choose from. They start about a ¼ of the page down. Some of the above shots just might be there? if not they still may if you guys don't mind?

Well, a long time ago - when I used to spray...

I made a Stainless steel "pan" that fit perfectly in the rear comparment - I put in a doulble bottle holder and two polished NOS bottles...(now be gentle - I was a little younger then)...and I installed a blue neon light behind the bottles to "accent" them. I thought I had some day time pics somewhere, but these should get the job done for now.

Man I like that set-up, the neon is cool, IMO. Too bad they are shaky pics. Maybe they could be fine tuned on a picture program? I would love to host these if that's cool? Different is what I like. Anyone reading along know how to clean these pics up, as I know it can be done?

Also so you guys know, on my site I added a video hosting section. A place to put all of our nitrous videos. If you have that you would like to share load them up, or send them to me and i will do it for you. I think having a place that everyone knows where the nitrous vids are at would be cool. Nitrous only vids though, with sections for purging, 1/4 runs, dyno pulls, misc. It's all about insight for the nitrous newbies.
