Sputtering issue gone now something else need your help.
Hey Guys,
About 2 months or so ago I ran into having a sputtering issue with my ignition in my Boosted Z06. The car is at 11lbs of boost with meth. I decided to do a swap on everything and went with new MSD wires, new NGK TR6 Plugs (gapped at 32), and new MSD ignition coils. When I was finished the car was amazing for about 10 miles or so. While sitting in the parking lot I heard a loud POP coming from the back right away I knew that it was the problem comng back. I drove the car around it pulled hard, at least harder than it did before I replaced everything but it was definetly breaking up, no check engine light like before. Anyone ever run into this issue? Please if you can help me out.
Could it be running super rich at certain RPMs ???
Did you get a chance to log the event ??
I think I just found the issue my wires seem to be going loose on cylinder number 1 and 2 off the spark plug. Everytime I take the car out the plugs seem to get loose (the same ones) Has anyone ever ran into this issue?

I bought MSD wires from Summit and promptly sent them back! I had the same issues with the wires not properly "clipping" on. I now run Taylor Thundervolt 8.2mm wires and they fit great. I used them on my other Z06 as well with the same success!
I just checked the wires and they are not loose at all but I still get the break up. i will try my old GM wires if that does not fix the problem thn I'm done screwing with it myself and I'll take the car to the shop.
In 2 years I used 3 or 4 sets of MSD's wires from Summit, I bought taylor and they fit much better and no issues, I also use the socks with them, When the MSD's went they would make the motor pop and miss at high rpm, Good luck.
That is exacly what is happening to the car the motor pops and misfires at higher rpms. But i just got a brand new set of MSD wires can new ones go bad after 10 miles? that is crazy. Will the old OEM GM work fine? Where would I get tylor wires?
