They (Cometic) have redesigned them countless times but still continue fail for various reasons. I have seen failures as recent as 2 months ago on current year design cometic gaskets. A lot of failures seen are basic heads/cam cars using the thinner than stock version. Failures are certainly not limited to them as the 4.125s for LS7 based have shown issues but different failure modes.

The only time to run them IMHO is when nothing else is available. Like 6 bolt pattern or something else off the wall.

Not doubting what your experience is with them...if I had issues with them you know that I would be first to tell people about them too..I am just saying that I haven't had any issues with the two different sets that I have used. Had I had a fresh set of heads that haven't been resurfaced 3-4 times...I would have used the GM MLS as well.
