2 out of the 4 bikes added turbos because they said they went home and vomitted that a car beat them
A 700rwhp vette and a busa are almost neck and neck all the way to 190, and then the vette finally pulls past. If you are on the busa, the key would be to limit the distance of the race to under 1 mile. But my car will soon take them in a mile as well
I'm getting there. Turbo Motor swapped 99 Celica, Twin Turbo Vette, and a single turbo 93 Trans Am in the works. Anyone put turbo's on a Chrysler Pacifica yet?

sweet. my car will only beat 600cc bikes at the moment.
when i get it back from ECS though, hopefully i'll have a liter bike killer.
i had 2.73's in the rears, my 5th gear goes to 230 hypothetically. If you are having to use 6th gear as a top speed gear... beware. Many trans shops have told me its not meant to hold power, and can snap.

Yeah, N/A bikes start struggling for more MPH around 170 when the drag starts hurting them. Strap a turbo on a Busa and it would put so much distance on you quickly you'd need a LOT of road to catch him.
You picked the right race (70 mph rolls). I had a guy on a Kaw Z1000 try me from 75. He jumped out a couple of cars, I reeled him in around 120 he kept trying until about 140 then he gave up as I was walking away at 160.
Not taking anything away from you or anything because it takes a fast car (imo) to beat sport bikes, but the Z1000's top out around 150 because there's pretty much nothing aerodynamic about that bike (it's a sport naked (no fairings) )... so i doubt he gave up, that's probably all the bike had in it. It's a de-tuned zx9 motor that barely makes over 120hp.. so they're really not fast bikes at all.

Hey Rodney, I think I know why you aren't modding the 89TTA hardtop. It's one of 35 isn't it??
Well its actually one of 15 hardtop/cloth cars built. It was titled when new by Pontiac Motor Division in 1989 and used for who knows what for 6K miles. It was then sold to a dealer in california where it sat for years uuntil the dealer went under and lost the car. It was sold at a GMAC auction where no one knew what it was and I ended up with it. The car now only has 6800 miles and is 100% original including the dry rotted Gatorbacks. The title I have is from 1989 in Pontic Motor Divisions name. There is no Carfax history or nor does anyone else know much about it. The build number was within the first six cars built of the 1550 and more than likely the first hardtop. I ordered the complete history package from PHS Historical Services today actually. The car has a weird build sheet that I won't go into detail about, but I have been approached by a couple of guys who REALLY want this car. I am considering selling it and fund a new building at my house for all my other cars. The ones I listed above were just my FI vechicles.
hey rodney, if a person made over 1500hp, whats the ideal transmission setup in a vette? one that wont fail every 2000 miles. I know cutting the car up is almost certain at this point when getting into the best transmissions, so lets say... fine, cut the car up... whats the best thing that can be put in a c5... and then a c6 if its different answers?
Manual or automatic... and lets say you were after top speed runs, so you had to be able to gear to 260ish for a mile.
Would you keep the stock rear power shafts, or go to a solid rear axle of some sort. Obviously, id like to keep the independent suspension. Thanks for the help.
