*Lets Talk Fuel Systems*
I have been looking around at multiple fuel systems for my corvette which will be needing an absolute ton of fuel for my 1000rwhp and e85.
I have been told by a lot of people that i would need to set aside a good chunk of change to do this system properly and I have no issues with that, however I would like to do it in a semi non million dollar way. (i simply dont have 3,000 + to throw at a fuel system right now).
So heres my questions whats the possibility of creating a fuel system for $2,000 or under that is reliable and will not give my fueling issues.
I was thinking possibly of a set up such as -10 feed with -8 return. Dual intake pumps 255lph high pressure
and a large external pump
Set up with the second intake pump and the external only kicking on during boost. With the primary pump fueling the motor while not in boost?
Im not worried about the noise of an external pump at all. I dont think i will be able to hear it over my 3 inch straight going out the back
. I figure $800 or so on the 3 pumps
$500 on lines, fittings, regulator, etc
The other 700 on injectors and such.
Let me know what you think, suggestions, flaws, anything at all is more than welcome. Like i said i just want a better understanding of why our fuel systems cost so much and if it can be done a diffrent way if i am not worried about noise.

Are you talking 1000 at the crank or rear wheels? Have you factored in the extra 20% in fuel volume that you will need to run E85? Are all the components in the systems you are looking at compatible with E85?

Yes, there is a way of building a system to support your fueling requirements for SIGNIFICANTLY less than what seems to be the norm.
You just need to know "what" to buy.
I'll call you in a bit.
