I'm pretty familiar with nitrous, but I want to get your guy's opinion. As you may know in my other thread, i will be getting my c5 within 3 weeks
mods on it include: borla exh, blackwing intake, 4.10 gears...
Now hears the deal: I won't use the nitrous often (and always on full throttle), and i cant have alot, because i have little money too replace something big like a clutch (im 17).
Any suggestions on wet kits? The guy the owns the vette now hasn't dyno'd it, but im thinking around 340-345 rwhp w/ the exhaust and intake.
I would love to hit 500 on the dyno (on spray of course), but a 125 shot is fine
I also don't wanna spend more than 500-600 bucks, or maybe a little more.
I would rec a Dry plate kit, although if you really want wet we can set you up there also. The thing is, on such a small shot we can get you into a small dry shot cheaper, and it will be such, as to be upgradeable later to dual stage and/or wet. I have a great package deal, the savings are great, and currently the most popular kit. One more reason I like the dry shots, they are a little safer overall compared to the wet hits. Now with that said, many run the wet hits just fine so in the end what you prefer is all that matters. Take a look around on my site as there is much info and insight concerning the install and ideas. the kit mentioned above is in the Nitrous Kits section, as well as a cheaper starter wet kit, but we custom spec kits to customer needs and funds daily. Let me know if I can help in any way, and this is not dependent on you buying from me. RNS Nitrous Kits

I think your about 25 horse high in your estimate. As for the nitrous you should be fine with a 125 but you will be short of your 500hp goal. The 4.10 gear will also take away from your dyno number.
Either way it will be fast.
I have a NOS plate spraying 150 and love it. My car has a large cam and bolt-ons. Also A4 trans which decreases the horse power a little. Before the nitrous we ran 398hp at the rear wheels on the dyno. DON'T get involved in the dyno number game. The Dyno is nothing more then a TUNING DEVICE.
I have not put it on the dyno with spray but at the track it runs 10.40's at 132+mph.

Reason: changed the 50 to 500
In the above link, all the kits are shown. But here is the direct link to the package deal that has become a fav. it includeds everything that any n2o kit requires and most buy as extras anyway, so why not put it all together at a great price. http://www.robertsnitrousservice.com....htm#236703624

132???
im pretty sure my c5 w/ exhuast, intake and 4.10s can hit low 12s

Comes with jetting to a 150 shot. We support the plate to 200 shot, however, after that, and the plate will flow more than any motor can take, it's up to the end user. What that means is, on the wet hits, flowing more that a 200 hit will be at the risk of the owner concidering the intakes on these cars and fuel puddling. We just want everyone safe, and if someone wants a bigger hit we can talk.

and then w/ a 100-125 shot, hopefully low 11s
132mph is only temporary Robert56@RNS has my next upgrade waiting. His NANO system By the way, he is giving a heck of a deal on his products, give him a call if you need something.
I would guess right now you would run roughly mid 12's
You will be solidly into the 11's with the nitrous.

moeannaj your PM box is full, so I will answer here since this thread got your attention.
Do you have all the supporting bolt-ons including headers? How big is the cam?
You should be right about there or just short. If need be you can bump up the shot to 125 or even 150 that will place you solidly where you want to be even if the cam is mild.
My cam is the LG G5X3 which is (or was at the time) the biggest cam you can get in the A4 LS1 without fly cutting the pistons. We did have to upgrade the springs but other then the cam and springs, the inside of the motor is from GM the way they delivered it.
btw, how do u think stock gears will compare w/ 4.10s on the 1/4?
assuming i have slicks
Being so young and obviously your on a tight budget, just enjoy the car as it is for the time being. The stock vette has more power than you realize and it should keep you satisfiied until more money is available for mods.
Example,if you go nitrous then the stock clutch will soon be toast...that is not a cheap replacement part.
A 4.11 gear set is fine, however you will need to upgrade to hardened out put shafts as well...again this is not a cheap mod for a 17 year old.
It's very expensive to make a car go fast...take a look at my mods...it's just a example of what gear heads do.

You will LOVE that low gear on the track. HOWEVER as 98vettedave said, HOPEFULLY you have the hardened shafts to go with the gearing. 6 speeds are harder on rear parts then the A4 cars. Be careful when you launch.

This is such a true statement. I got into this game at 21 all on my own too with huge hopes....when you factor all the little things in it really is HUGE $$ (if you're financing the car you'll really feel horrible if something breaks and you cant drive it and still have to make monthly payments ) but come end of pharmacy school, supercharger awaits!!
I say having a vette at 17 is pretty awesome to begin with, hold off on the nos. save up some $$ and do it step by step so you don't regret it later
