Blower belt question..................
Does anyone know the length of the Gates belt that's needed for an A&A Vortech using a 3.4" or a 3.2 " pulley?
If you have a part number too, that would be Great!
Thanks!

3.4" needs a 90" belt: k060900
3.6" needs 90.5" belt; k060905

Nouman used a K060895 (89.5") on his 3.2"
I use a k060891 on my 3.0; goes on loose and maximizes pulley wrap.

Hi Nouman!
I sent you a pm about it, but I've found that sometimes things on this forum are hit and miss as far as the pm's or the search function! I've had to resend a few pm because the recipient never got them!
Would you like me to resend it?
The Good Dr. got back to me today, and said that he'd ship it off to me. He's been busy, so I don't know when he'll be able to ship it off!
I have to say Thank You again for that Nouman! It was VERY NICE of you and Completely uncalled for!

Believe it or not, good Dr. is busy modifying something for ME right now
I expect you NOT to say a word!Enjoy the new Riechard 3.2" pulley. You will love the new power!
P.S 1. Be a man and take that stinking restrictor out. I give you MY words you will be fine with stock bottom! TRUST ME! I will help you with the tune

2. I think I have a brand new belt for 3.2" that I will look for in a day or two. If I find it, I will ship it off to you no charge! Just PM me your home address

Well, I don't know if this will help but I have the GATES belt #25-060876 on my P1SC-1 with the A&A 2nd Generation bracket and a 3.2" Pulley

Thanks,Matt

Thanks,Matt
When I went from the 3.6 to 3.4 pulley I didn't change the belt. There was enough adjustment left to make it work. I think I even gained a little better belt rap around the pulley with the longer belt. Worked for me
Buddy first off you are most welcome. Secondly, please do not mention. I consider you one of my very good friends and it was my pleasure helping you out. I left all my parts with the good Dr. and you know he throws all the parts that nobody needs unless he gets a "million" (inside joke) for them

Nouman

I Promise to not say a word to anyone about your New Project! I Hope that you know that I wouldn't let the cat out of the bag! I'm Very excited for you and can't wait to hear your review of it!

The "Be a Man" quote is pretty funny!
It made me chuckle! If I can run anywhere in the tens with my car in the same trim that I drive it everyday, then I'm Happy! Just knowing that my car can keep up with about any car on the street is cool by me! Not that I condone street racing, but sometimes things happen! Of course, I stop and tell them if you want to race, I'll see you at the track!

I was thinking of trying it without the restrictor, but I'm nervous. The tune has to be on the money, as you know better than anyone!
I wanted Phil to tune it, but he's busy with other stuff. I understand that he's got to take care of other commitments and that's Respectable!
I think that his "Spare Supercharger Parts Bin" is round and gets emptied every week, if you know what I mean!
He's more of a Turbo Guy as everyone knows! Once again Nouman, Thank You for your Very Generous offer! I'll pm you!

That's good to know because while we're tuning it, we are probably going to try a 3.4" pulley first to see where it gets us, and then probably step up (or down) to Nouman's 3.2". I feel like I'm getting a part of history by using that pulley!
It went 700 rwhp on a stock, cammed short block! It won't go there on mine, but we'll see where we end up! Thanks Guys (Especially Nouman) for the help!

Rob still looking for the belt can't seem to find it. If memory serves me right, I think I shipped it off to TRIZ a few months ago? Maybe he will chime in.
I got brand new 8 rib belt for my current setup that I already promised to Matt.

Yes, You sent me a belt months ago. It's working great!
Took the blower off to do an engine mod and put your belt on by mistake - but it's working fine.

Sorry Rob.

According to Andy, I was in "Uncharted Territory" about two years ago too! We're both off the chart Nouman!
Btw, heading to the track Saturday...
It's not a big deal because the belt is only as far as our local NAPA store!
It sounds like the 60895 is the one that I want, if I go with the 3.2". I ordered a 3.4" to just to see if that gets me where I want to be before jumping into the Deep waters! I figure what the heck, the car will have the belt changed while it's at the dyno anyway, so what's the harm in having to change the belt and pulley one more time?
I'm curious to see what she puts down!
Hey Nouman, after that, I might even head to the track Buddy!

A basic SD VE tune is within my grasp, but I'd like a MAF tune instead, so I seeked Professional help!

I know a Guy that is a GURU with EfiLive (I like to think of him as the EfiLive equivalent to Charlie@RPM or even Dr. Phil in the tuning department) and has tuned ALOT of cars. He said that he'd tune it for me and I'm taking him up on it! I Hope to learn from watching him!
When all is said and done, I Hope that I have a car that runs the number that I have in my head at the track on my Nitto's!
I'll let you know how that works out!

No need to apologize! Between you and Nouman, that belt has seen more (Over) spins than a Merry go round at Disney world!
Good Luck at the track!

Rob,
Trust me you WILL be fine with 3.2" and no restrictor. There was NO need to waste money with the 3.4" pulley/belt etc when 3.2" was coming your way. It's not like what you hear that motor will go Kabooom in a second. You are NOT going to see 12-15lbs of boost the moment you floor it anyway. The boost goes upto 10psi by 5500 RPMs and then jump to 13-15psi in a second from there on without restrictor. I highly doubt even with 3.2" pulley and no restrictor you will see 15psi of boost. 12psi is tops that you will see. You will NOT make over 550rwhp with stock LS1 cam/heads, A4 and your Mustang dyno anyway. Trust me! You do not have to worry about blowing the motor with 3.2" and no restrictor. I don't know how to assure you this
If I were there, I would put a gun to your head and make you do it
Hell, I would do it myself!
Yes, to some it may sound like I am out of my mind, but I have been there 2 years ago and done it. You have just saw Scotty running the same numbers I did two years ago. If I had 1% doubt in my mind, I would NOT tell you too! You know that much!
I would strongly suggest a few things below
1. Make sure you do NOT rush at the dyno and take your time with EVERYTHING. You know quite a bit about tuning and should be there with your tuner. If he is in a rush, reschedule.
2. Abort any/every run if you have any doubts about KR by 5k RPMs.
3. Make sure you have brand new NGK TR6 plugs gapped right.
4. Make sure you ARE running Alky and everything is working perfect with it.
5. Make sure there is at least 1 quart of Torco with your half tank of 91/93 Octane.
6. Do not do back to back dyno runs and wait for at least 5 minutes between runs.
Do it, take the car to the track. Run mid to high 10s with your Nittos at around 126-129 MPH and report back!
